what it collects, and what happens to it

your description and the location you set — plus a photo and your email, if you add them. it also logs your ip address to rate-limit abuse. amend formats your description with anthropic's claude, turns coordinates into a street address with mapbox, stores the report in supabase, and emails it to the city with resend. if you add your email, amend sends you a confirmation and forwards any reply from the city back to you. the city or county it's sent to — and the services just named — are the only ones who see it.

public records

reports go to a government office, so once submitted they probably become public records and could be disclosed on request. don't put anything in a report you wouldn't want made public.

bot protection

amend uses cloudflare turnstile to block automated abuse, covered by cloudflare's turnstile privacy addendum.
